In Conversation With... Nachtbraker

Get to know our August headliner

We absolutely love the album - why did you decide to produce an album rather than concentrate on singles/EP's?

Thanks! I’m really happy you like it and so many people picked it up. I wanted to make music without the restraints of it being a dance floor track. Also, I really wanted to tell a bit of a story, create more of a vibe. Which can be very hard with a single/ep.

Quartet Series - how did that come about and what inspired you to start your own label? Have you got any exciting releases coming up on the label that you can give us the heads up on...?

I think other peoples music inspired me to start the label in the first place. I found some incredibly talented producers who I wanted to share their music from. Besides that I felt that I could bring something unique with the concept of the label. Collecting a Quartet of records is a really fun thing to do I think. Do you have a design in mind for your blog? For now the remix ep of my album is still planned for fall/winter 2019. What’s gonna happen after that I can’t tell. I’m still working on a new Quartet concept ;).

What top 5 tracks are getting the best reactions in your sets this Summer?

1. Idris Bena - Green Area

2. HVL - Eyes in the Sky

3. Marius - German Traffic

4. Fabio Della Torre - Monster Knight

5. Nachtbraker - Leonardo Ceviche

Whats been your favourite gig to date and why?

Hard to say, there’s not necessarily one that stands out from others that were

really good. But one that comes up now would be playing Sub Club in

Glasgow this year. I played all night b2b with my friends Laurence Guy and

Seb Wildblood. We had an amazing night, that I can tell you ;).

What's the plan for the rest of this year? Any big milestones coming up?

Got a couple of remixes coming up which I’m really happy about, can’t wait

to share them with you. Also NB003 is in the planning and the remix ep of

my album will drop. Besides that I’ll be touring South America again and I’m

currently working on a North America tour as well. All this in between touring Europe, its gonna be a really good 2nd half of 2019!
