French/Swiss producer Sweet Fruity Brunch has gained many admirers on the underground scene with his complex, well crafted, disco-influenced productions. Captured by the sound led by artists such as Max Graef, Andy Hart, Cody Currie, Junktion, Ben La Desh and more… he was inspired to start working on his own productions, eventually releasing his first track as ‘Sweet Fruity Brunch’ back in 2017.

Always refining his musical style, he’s constantly seeking for new sweet flavors, trying to find the perfect mix between House, Disco, Funk and Jazz.

Today's he's back on our good friends Moment Cinetique with a 3 track EP, 'Disco Spider'. Get to know the guy and check out the tracks below...

1. Give us the lowdown on this release…

Well it includes the track ‘Disco Spider’ which is one of my favourite productions so far under my alias ‘Sweet Fruity Brunch’. It’s one of those tracks where I have such a clear idea in mind that I finish it in one sitting. This ep includes a lot more live/instrument play as well, definitely an improvement from my previous releases.

2. If you had to pick one, what would be your biggest career highlight to date?

It’s not a highlight per se, but even after two years I still like and enjoy my track ‘Shelby Le Hibou’, and that’s rare. It gives me a sort of accomplishment feeling, and it definitely counts as a highlight for me.

3. If we were allowed to be out partying, what current records would you be playout out every set?

Hodini & Max Graef & Damiano von Erckert - Pepatzenimfernbus

Felix Leifur - Eitt

Apparel Wax – 005B2

4. What’s coming up next for you?

My main focus is on my other alias ‘Donnie Moustaki’, it’s where I produce what I really enjoy on a personal level. Somewhere between house and hip-hop, just a tad more complex and interesting. I’m preparing a beat tape with my talented imaginary friend. I also got a record coming out soon, space vibes. And another one that just came out, ‘Cool Man Nazz’ EP in collaboration with my good lad Jehan, released on Masterwork Deep Cutz.

5. If you could spend '5 Minutes With…' anyone, who would it be and why...?

Felix Leifur, and ask him to teach me his secrets.
