5 Minutes With... MAISON BLANCHE

Parisian Based DJ and Producer, Maison Blanche is one of the founders of the collective and label House Of Underground. A double-sided artist, Maison Blanche likes to offer striking house sets with a varied Selecta, or Disco and Funk sets with 80s rare records.

Fan of urban music and sampling, He doesn't hesitate to revive, in his productions, vinyls he found all around the world. Feb 12th sees the release of "Porn Jazz Scene" on Sengiley Records, a very personal EP for Maison, with a touch of Groovy Jazz and acid bass that makes us want to dance.

Check out some of the premiere of 'Give it back' below and see what he had to say when we caught up with him...

1. Give us the lowdown on this release...

I've been working on a set of tracks for several months, with influences from all around me.

I wanted people to feel that this EP is a part of me.

It was a work on myself and I am happy with the result, it represents my desire to dance and share a personal emotion.

2. If you had to pick one, what would be your biggest career highlight to date?

My greatest achievement is to have invited and played with Chicago house legend Boo Williams not once but twice with my House Of Underground collective that I greet in passing (s/o). It was a magical moment that I will not forget

3. If we were allowed to be out partying, what current records would you be playing out at every set?

4. What's coming up next for you?

I have a lot of project in preparation, since confinement # 1 in France : first I prepare a Various for House Of Underground with all the crew, I would also do some releases in the meantime, and finally the preparation of a sub-label but I cannot say more .. I keep the surprise!

5. If you could spend 5 minutes with anyone, who would it be and why?

I think this is the most difficult question anyone can ask me.

Alive, I would say Quincy Jones or Niles Rodgers, they inspired me the jazzy groove that you can find in my tracks, I can't choose just one (Sorry)

If it's a person who left us, I would say Donna Summer for all the Disco influence she brought to us.
